We have seen eagles and osprey as well as kingfishers and great blue herons & many other birds here. The buds are finally coming out on our trees and bushes which we welcome here in New England.jferrarihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07449184264901156941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-823563795197347617.post-49318085193837314142017-07-17T08:39:00.003-07:002019-04-30T13:43:00.875-07:00Summer activity<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Time to get out and do some walking and listen to the birdsong. The river is rushing and creating its wonderful sound in the village, for all that take the time to hear or see. Just got back from Boston where the spring is even farther along.jferrarihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07449184264901156941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-823563795197347617.post-21109126709390759222013-01-22T20:24:00.000-08:002013-01-22T20:24:22.534-08:00Alternative EnergyI am starting to think about adding solar hot water and solar electricity sometime to the house. It seems a good time to think about these things.jferrarihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07449184264901156941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-823563795197347617.post-78518423172299360332011-02-09T14:34:00.000-08:002011-02-09T14:34:03.456-08:00<span class="Apple-style-span" style="-webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; border-collapse: collapse; color: #333333; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">Winter is essentially here. We are within driving distance of the beautiful Monadnock Region, with its well hiked Mount Monadnock. We are also on the edge of the 14,000 acre Pisgah State Park, a great place for hiking, birding and cross country skiing. The Studio House is in the Village of Ashuelot which has a distinctive double lattice truss covered bridge designed by Connecticut architect Ithiel Town in 1820 and built in 1864. "The Ashuelot covered bridge is considered by local historians to be one of New Hampshire’s most elaborate covered bridges." The Ashuelot River is across the road and is a sought after kayaking location in spring.<br />

Come do a tour of all the covered bridges in our region. See link.jferrarihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07449184264901156941noreply@blogger.com
